Channing Tatum is baring all about his stripper beginnings in an upcoming movie based on his experience as an exotic dancer.

As Marquee previously reported, Tatum performed at a Tampa club as Chan Crawford in 1999. Now, director Steven Soderbergh is making a drama inspired by the actor's stint there, reports Deadline.

In the film, the "21 Jump Street" star will play a veteran dancer who teaches a newcomer how to hustle on and off stage. Expect lots of partying and women.

"This was a wild and pivotal time in my life," says Tatum, "and I couldn't be more thrilled to go down the rabbit hole with Steven."

Adds Soderbergh, "When Channing talked to me about this, I thought it was one of the best ideas I'd ever heard for a movie. I said I wanted in immediately. It's sexy, funny and shocking. We're using 'Saturday Night Fever' as our model, so hopefully we're on the right track."
